Win $100,000 to Fund Your Game

Torque developers: Think you have a solid game but are looking for additional funding and publishing options? Look no further:

The Indie Game Challenge is a development contest offering large cash prizes as well as a chance to meet big name publishers like Sony, Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Capcom, Microsoft, NAMCO/Bandai, THQ and Ubisoft.

Twelve teams will be selected as Finalists in the contest. One Professional Grand Prize Winner and one Non-Professional Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the Finalists to each win $100,000 USD. Three of the Finalists will also be chosen for three separate $2,500 USD prizes for Technical Skill, Art Skill, and Gameplay Skill respectively.

All Finalists will have the chance to be flown out to Las Vegas' D.I.C.E. Summit to pitch their games to professional publishers.

And if all that isn't enough, contest participants may be considered for a $50,000 scholarship to attend Guildhall at Southern Methodist University for professional game development.

Artists Unite: Unearthly Challenge

We here at TorquePowered.com understand that art can make the difference between a mediocre game and a great one. That's why we are proud sponsors of the Unearthly Challenge. The Unearthly Challenge gives environmental artists a chance to showcase their work. Each year the contest invites users from GameArtisans.org, Polycount.net, LeewiArt and CGTalk to show off their talent and represent their various communities.

One of the main requirements of the contest is to show the environment running inside a game engine or inside your art app lit in real-time, no renders allowed. With Torque 3D's intuitive art pipeline and state-of-the-art rendering, you can really set your entry apart by proving that you art looks great and runs in a game environment.

As sponsors, TorquePowered will be giving away copies of Torque 3D to the grand prize winners. In addition, we will be scouting our own forums and select one lucky team to win copies of Torque 3D for all their team members!

How can you participate without a copy of Torque 3D? Simple! Just download the Unearthly Challenge Torque 3D demo from our site.

Read the Torque blog to learn more about the Unearthly Challenge.
